The phone was great except for the sound quality. It was very raspy and the volume was very low even when at maximum. All the other features were worked well and the construction seemed sturdy. I took it back and went back to my old phone. Maybe the one I bought was a lemon, but I will not try it again.

1st it comes with standard Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries. easy to find & replace. last a long time.
2nd decent size screen to read.
3rd has silent mode.
4th can add additional handsets. up to 6. have added 2.
Other features too. Very glad I went with Panasonic. Purchased a different make last time. Was sorry from the beginning.
Had other Panasonic phones in the past. All lasted & have learned my lesson!
